From a young age, I always perceived that my thoughts and attitudes did not resemble those of my classmates.
I felt a restlessness to know, study, learn…

I studied Law, Economics, and Finance up to master’s level at some of the best universities in the world, such as the London School of Economics.
I even received the Outstanding Graduate Award and the Best Thesis Award.
(Meanwhile, I was already beginning to take my first steps in the world of investing. I’ll give you more details later).
And what was the next step at that point?
Yes, you guessed it: work.
Work at a law firm.
There, I spent long working hours with schedules well beyond what would be considered “normal.”
And due to my abilities, my extensive educational background, and my insatiable thirst to continue growing personally and professionally, I quickly climbed the corporate ladder.
I had it all.
Or so it seemed.
But… You know what?
That was not the place I had dreamed of.
It did not fulfill me.
As I was mentioning earlier, during my student years (more than 20 years ago now), I started investing.
I tried all kinds of strategies, from the riskiest ones like short-term trading to much more passive ones like dividend investing.
And, like everyone else, I encountered both successes and mistakes.
Mistakes that, without yet knowing it, were providing me with valuable lessons to boost my long-term investments, where compound interest plays a fundamental role.
Then, at this key stage in my life, two factors came together that forced me to make a decision:
A job that increasingly caused me irritation and dissatisfaction. I fully identified with that feeling of “hating Mondays.”
My own investment portfolio that was growing and beginning to provide me with income that did not depend on my employment.
I had serious doubts, to be honest.
It was not easy at all to take the definitive step.
And due to a series of events that I will tell you about another day…
I decided to take the leap.
Throughout the process, I was already professionalizing my own investments much more.
The same ones that, before I turned 30, and almost without realizing it, had already led me to the much-desired financial freedom.
At that point, my income no longer depended on a job, but rather most of it came from the investments I had been building step by step.
With all that, I left that seemingly idyllic position, with an attractive salary, but which brought me no happiness—quite the opposite, in fact.
And this is a very brief summary of my story.

What about El Club de Inversión?
Once I achieved my own financial freedom, don’t think I went off to lie in a hammock in the Caribbean watching the days go by doing nothing…
Due to my desire to share everything I had learned over those years, I began sharing my advice and strategies via email and in talks with my friends and acquaintances.
The point is that I encountered many people in my circle who “bombarded me” with questions about how I had achieved it.
And since artificial intelligence, automation, and the like did not yet exist, I found myself obliged to tell the same story over and over.
Again and again.
So the smartest thing to do was to create the elclubdeinversion.com blog in 2017.
There I share my own experiences with investing, some key tips for taking the first steps…
In short, I have been writing, from then until today, numerous high-quality, in-depth articles.
Truly comprehensive guides that, in those early days, I could share with my friends and family, thus saving myself from having to repeat my explanations.
And somewhat by chance, almost without seeking it, that blog grew.
More and more people visited and continue to visit my guides to learn how to invest.
And, in parallel, I also started a YouTube channel.
Those were the beginnings of El Club de Inversión, the project I currently lead and which has become my life’s purpose.
Always with a very clear objective in mind:
El Club de Inversión has become much more than a blog and a YouTube channel.
I have a team of brilliant professionals who accompany me in fulfilling this same objective I described.
And thousands of students have already gone through our training programs, with satisfaction rates close to 100%.
As I mentioned at the beginning, along the way I obtained the official accreditation as a financial advisor, the Technical Financial Advisor endorsed by the CNMV to provide financial advice.
Although I do not provide personalized advisory services: it is simply a demonstration of my commitment to rigor and the highest standards of quality and trust, the same standards perceived by our entire community and our students.
And as if that were not enough, I decided to write a book, which became a bestseller on Amazon.
They say that in life we must have a child, plant a tree, and write a book…
So, done.
What I did not expect under any circumstances was that, following a conference I gave on cryptocurrency investing, I would be contacted by Penguin Random House, the largest publishing group in the world, to write another book.
In this case, on the topic of cryptocurrencies.
A book that, once again, also became a bestseller.
